Nancy Benac, AP Writer, Editor And Clinton Surrogate

Meet Nancy Benac,
Look at what her loving family thinks of her, and what connections she has for them to boast about….this taken from:
http://www.benac.com/friendsnancy.html
A Benac family webpage.

The current honoree of Benac.com is none other than the "kid sister" of the aging Mr. Bill, Nancy Benac Witkowski. Nancy is an editor for the Associated Press in Washington, DC, where she finds herself hosting many of the Benac children as they pass through that area. She has spent her career working for AP as a reporter, national political editor, and for a few years spent a very interesting stint on AP's White House Press pool. She has travelled extensively on Air Force One during the Clinton administration, circled the globe with Hillary and Chelsea on their world tour, and covered elections and campaigns including the most recent democratic and republican conventions. Nancy has never been more challenged, however, than in her most current additional responsiblities as mother to the adorable Christopher, shown here with her and his father, Chris at a recent family reunion. She enjoys parenting and keeping her hand in her AP work, where she is continually in demand for her excellent journalistic skills. We admire her and are proud to call her ours!

It is swell that her family is so proud of her. I don’t think much of her journalistic ethics though…..

Clinton got along with GOP in Senate
By NANCY BENAC, Associated Press Writer Sat Mar 22, 10:19 AM ET...

Let me share a few excerpts of this Clinton campaign surrogate's piece...

WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton arrived in the Senate before she had even surrendered the title of first lady.
An anything-but-typical freshman, she surprised skeptics with how well she fit in to a chamber where reputations are usually built over decades.
She didn't big-foot colleagues. A junior senator in the minority party, she put her head down and went to work.
She sought out the longest-serving senator in history, West Virginia's Robert Byrd, to receive a tutorial on the art of legislating, even though he had been an outspoken critic of her husband during the impeachment debate.
She waited her turn to speak, and when she did talk, it was clear she had done her homework.
By most accounts she was seen as a serious legislator who tended to her state's interests. She was re-elected in 2006 in a cakewalk.
Daschle gives Clinton good marks for her years in the Senate.
"She surprised people," Daschle said. "There was a lot of skepticism among many of her colleagues about the degree to which she would be a team player. ... She was sensitive to that concern and tried to address it."
Clinton built unexpected alliances with Republicans.
Obama, who sought out Clinton for advice when he began his own Senate career four years after she started hers, makes a virtue of his newness to the ways of Washington and tries to turn Clinton's experience into a liability.

Now here's her lead on an Obama hit piece on healthcare....

Fact Check: Clinton, Obama & Health Care
January 23, 2008 - 5:54pm
WASHINGTON (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton says Democratic presidential rival Barack Obama has shifted his position on whether the United States should institute a "single-payer" health-care system that is run by the government. It's an idea many health-care experts think is the best way to ensure coverage for all, but that many consumers reject as a move toward socialized medicine.
Here's a perception management piece about the delegate count and Clinton's finances after the beating Clinton took in Jan vote....
Obama, Clinton Battle for Big Bucks
February 8, 2008 - 1:26am
By CHARLES BABINGTON and NANCY BENAC
Associated Press Writers
NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Battling for every dollar and delegate, Barack Obama raised $7.2 million in Super Tuesday's wake and Hillary Rodham Clinton pulled in $6.4 million, stunning totals reflecting the intensity of their neck-and-neck race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Clinton, who loaned her campaign $5 million in the run-up to Super Tuesday, brushed aside the notion she has money problems. She pointed to the roughly even split of delegates still being allocated from Tuesday's primaries and caucuses as evidence her campaign has the financial muscle to compete.
Any financial crunch for Clinton would be largely due to lopsided fundraising in January, when Obama pulled in $32 million to her $13.5 million.
Clinton campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle on Thursday sent the Obama camp a proposal for five one-on-one debates before the March 4 round of primaries in Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island and Vermont.
"There's too much at stake and the issues facing the country are too grave to deny voters the opportunity to see the candidates up close," Solis Doyle wrote.
After putting off the request, Obama's campaign announced later in the day (putting off the request?)that he would participate in two debates before March 4, one in Cleveland and the other in Texas.
The Clinton campaign has noted that Obama does take donations from people who lobby at the state level, and it says she would bring important reforms to Washington.

Hillary Rodham Clinton: Who Is She..

December 14, 2007 - 6:12pm
By ERIN McCLAM
AP National Writer
NEW YORK (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton likes to say she was born in the middle of the country at the middle of the century, in a Chicago suburb that defined a childhood out of "Father Knows Best" or "Ozzie and Harriet."

Clinton's Surprising Roller-Coaster Ride

By NANCY BENAC March 1, 2008 - 1:47pm

WASHINGTON (AP)

His Iowa victory propelled him like a slingshot into New Hampshire, where the only question seemed to be how big his victory would be.
Clinton didn't buy it, and neither did the public.
With her candidacy on the ropes, tough-as-nails Clinton let loose her emotions. Choking back tears the day before the primary, Clinton spoke from the heart about the meaning of the presidential race. In the process, she softened her remote image and zinged Obama along the way.
"You know, this is very personal for me," she told voters in a coffee shop. "Some of us are right, and some of us are not. Some of us are ready, and some of us are not."
It was a powerful moment, played over and over on TV.
When the New Hampshire results came in, Clinton was the newest comeback kid, Obama the underdog once again.
"I found my own voice," Clinton declared.
Then she overplayed her hand, or rather, her husband.
Heading into a difficult South Carolina contest, Bill Clinton ramped up the anti-Obama rhetoric he'd first unleashed in New Hampshire.
The ex-president's rancorous words _ criticizing Obama's positions on the Iraq war as a "fairy tale" and complaining that the Obama campaign had put out a "hit job" on him _ were a distasteful counterpoint to Obama's lofty message.

(What happened in South Carolina?????puhleeazzee)

Bill Clinton: Wife's 'Defender-In-Chief'
January 24, 2008 - 5:14pm
By NANCY BENAC
Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) - It started with dismissive talk of a fairy tale, then deteriorated into more of a nightmare.

By Thursday, it was left to an ordinary voter to call for a time out.
At a morning campaign stop by Bill Clinton just outside Columbia, S.C., a Clinton supporter urged her campaign to "stop taking the bait from Obama" and stick to the issues.
The former president allowed that it was "pretty good advice. It's probably good advice for me, too," he said.
Hillary Clinton found herself defending her husband when she would rather have been talking about her plans for U.S. financial markets.
Both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton seemed to cool their rhetoric a bit, if not entirely.
Obama told voters in Kingstree, S.C., that criticism directed at him should be taken as "a source of pride. It means I might win this thing."
Still, he repeated that if the Clintons or others "are making false assertions," he won't hesitate to respond aggressively.
Clinton, for his part, said that after "all the mean things" the Obama campaign has said about him, "I should be the last person to defend him. (But) if he wins this nomination, I'm going to do what I can to help him win."
Obama hasn't hesitated to hit hard at Hillary Clinton. Early on, he served notice that he would "make sure that we take it to them just like they take it to us."
"I come from Chicago politics," he said this month. "We're accustomed to rough and tumble."
Of late, he has repeatedly questioned Hillary Clinton's candor and trustworthiness, including in a short-lived radio ad in South Carolina that said, "Hillary Clinton will say anything to get elected."
The Obama campaign pulled down the ad Thursday after the Clinton camp stopped running a radio spot that was critial of Obama. (What was the spot???)

Don't Be Quick to Count Out a Clinton

Speaking of tilting at windmills, there's Sen. Barack Obama's plan to clean up the ethics problems in Washington. He promises that all meetings between lobbyists and government agencies would be put "on the Internet for every American to watch" if he's president.
Urban windmills? A svelte federal bureaucracy? YouTube behind every closed door?

  2. Per your writeup today:

    Dear Sir,

I read with interest your comment today which follows:

"This is the largest expansion of welfare in the history of the country," said Robert Rector, a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation. "It's all in the form of one-way handouts."

Sir, I have over thirty years of professional driving experience without blemish, over twenty years of sales and sales management experience, I sang and led professionally, a small jazz combo for four years, I can make a computer sing and dance with productivity, I write, create original photo art, both of which has garnered small bits of income for me, I photograph models and enhance their portfolios, to name some of my skills and abilities. I am now embarking on a Spanish language CD of romantic melodies to compliment my CD from 1998.

I apply for jobs, am told they're not hiring, and they they hire young people, people that demonstrate no desire or ability to do the job. I see mediocrity everywhere, and also see qualified, intelligent, skilled and experienced people walking the streets with me. I am without housing for three years and four months, wash in men's rooms, sleep on buses, but plow forward each day doing the things which helped me prosper in the past to no avail.

I refuse to descend into drugs, alcohol or petty crimes. It's the attitude that I detect that infuriates me. I challenge you then, provide me with an opportunity that I have trained and become proficient for all my fifty-nine years of life, and let's stop this nonsense with off shoring of jobs, hiring of incompetents, and go back to a merit based system.

    Respectfully,

    ...Joe Piervincenti...

    1. Communists? Correct me if I am wrong, but I assume your hatred is based on affiliation and support of Bush. Bush apologized to Communists when they rammed our aircraft. Weapons, ammo, and people from the PRC were found in Afghanistan caves, being used against US troops, and Bush did nothing about these Communists. These are same people and AK weapons used to murder US troops in Vietnam. Then Bush goes to China and has dinner with them & shares their bed. Bush borrows trillions from these same murdering Communists, so there is some question as to WHO is the commie hugger here? And I think it is you. And I also think besides helping the Taliban, you gave active support in hiding Ben Laden when Bush said he wasn't important. I notice Obama had no problem finding him, so run along Commie Hugger~!

  5. Cass Sunstein, a Harvard Law professor who has been appointed to a shadowy post that will grant him powers that are merely mind-boggling, explicitly supports using the courts to impose a "chilling effect" on speech that might hurt someone's feelings. He thinks that the bloggers have been rampaging out of control and that new laws need to be written to corral them.

Advance copies of Sunstein's new book, "On Rumors: How Falsehoods Spread, Why We Believe Them, What Can Be Done," have gone out to reviewers ahead of its September publication date, but considering the prominence with which Sunstein is about to be endowed, his worrying views are fair game now. Sunstein is President Obama's choice to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. It's the bland titles that should scare you the most.

In "On Rumors," Sunstein reviews how views get cemented in one camp even when people are presented with persuasive evidence to the contrary. He worries that we are headed for a future in which "people's beliefs are a product of social networks working as echo chambers in which false rumors spread like wildfire." That future, though, is already here, according to Sunstein. "We hardly need to imagine a world, however, in which people and institutions are being harmed by the rapid spread of damaging falsehoods via the Internet," he writes. "We live in that world. What might be done to reduce the harm?"

    Nancy.......

Since when has the office of prez ever lawfully belonged to your precious chocolate jesus for him to have any right to want it back?

You can say “birther” all you damned well please just like all the rest of the derisive maggotry of the main sewer stream media....but you can never deny that millions that weren't even his were spent not only burying his “certificate of live birth” but all of his academic records (such as may even be genuine) as well-----in just so many words YOUR prez is a god damned mountebank whether you or any of your rich kid editors like it or not. The fact that so much loot was spent by the jewish banksters and their lawyers at Goldman-SUCKS to hide the truth about where Barry Soetoro was spawned would of itself constitute prima facie evidence of political fraud in any lawful courtroom of competent CommonLaw jurisdiction in any excuse for a civilized country. Think on that one, Lois Lane.

Merely because the Clintons and the Bushes both turned this country into a shit-strewn zoo does not mean that a monkey from the trees of Kenya is fit to run it.

    Robert Hauser

    I want a prez
    Just like the prez
    Goldman-Sachs loot cannot make...
    He'll be the prez
    Constitution says,
    Not some jive-assed Kenyan fake
    He will save this nation
    From derivative and hedge;
    To the Federal Reserve
    He'll take a monstrous sledge,
    I tell you,
    I want a prez
    Not vetted East of Suez
Who back to Freedom us will take.

    1. Well lets examine reality where truth resides. Reagan lied about Iran-Contra, Bush Sr. lied about raising taxes. Clinton lied about a consensual BJ. Bush Jr. lied about WMDs. And whenever you actually have some truthful reality evidence, you can say Obama lied like his predecessors. You make an untruth saying various people spent millions hiding something, yet you cannot show me the existence in reality of truth by evidence that you are not lying to us. You might see UFOs all day long, but no one else did. People reading your response have to be laughing like I am! Now I assume you would abandon the 4th Amendment and allow anyone into your pc, files, bank accounts, family albums, etc. That is what you are Asking of Obama, and Obama being a constitutional scholar is telling you to go pound sand on your UFO. Further, the burden is not on Obama, it is on you to show a document, you are making this ridiclous charge. Further, Obama by law doesn't have to show you nothing, the law says that rests with the state of Hawaii. For someone making all these UFO-accusations, you don't seem to have grasp on reality or truth.
